The course is 'evidence based' by York University, funded by Arthritis Research UK .
Learn life long skills to improve comfort, health and well-being in this specially modified yoga course to provide you with postural improvements, mental focus and relaxation.
These are therapeutic courses limited to smaller groups providing you with a self management programme. No need to wait until your back gives you debilitating pain, learn how to improve back health and function now.

Taster session Tuesday 14.9.21 11.30-12.30: £10
If you then book onto the 12 week course the taster session is refunded
12 week course starting 21st September 2021: Tuesdays 11.30 to 12.45
The course fee of £180 includes resources (book & handouts) and can be paid in 3 instalments of £30 deposit on registration, £75 at first class and £75 at 7th class.
Funding may be available through private health care or via your employer as a 'back to work' care plan. Time may be allowed off work as with a physio or chiropracter appointment. Ask your HR department to consider the options.

Now that the Yoga for Health Lower Backs is over, I just wanted to say a huge thank you, not just for the course but also for adding the extra class, it was so kind of you. Although, I didn't miss any of the classes it was so useful to revisit Core A yesterday and have one more session with the group, such a friendly bunch of people; I shall miss them!
It has been a great course. I have found it informative and applicable in everyday life. It has taught me to use my breath in order to relax and release my back when it hurts and, not only to release my back, but my whole body - so needed in my current situation.
I think this course would be useful for many people who don't necessarily have specific back problems but are likely to experience some stiffness or an ache that they may just occur very occasionally.
As usual, you explained the postures and the reasons so well which made the whole course meaningful and relevant; thank you.
I do hope the rest of your week is good.
Found your course very beneficial as it added a few moves I could add when my back starts to ache. I think you describe the movements very well and are helpful in correcting us when we don’t get them quite right.

Thank you so much for the short course you have just run on Mindfulness, as a beginner I found it an excellent way to understand the concept. You explained everything in a very straightforward and easy to understand way which has meant I have been able to use the short meditations you taught in the class when I find myself in a stressful situation with really good results. The written course content you emailed each week has formed the start of my Mindfulness reference library! I can't wait to continue my journey.
