I practise and teach Hatha Yoga in the Broadstone and Poole areas. Hatha means Sun and Moon and just like Yin and Yang, yoga is about balancing opposing aspects of our mind, body and breath to bring harmony. I trained with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2009 under Wendy Haring with Anatomy and Physiology taught by Val Goodier. I went on to qualify as a pregnancy yoga teacher with Wendy Teasdill. I also qualifed as a children's yoga teacher in 2005 through a national training franchise and now have my own business teaching children: YogaBears. I have taken extra training in Yoga For Backs, Somatics and Yoga for Menopause.
Yoga came to me when I was at Ferndown Middle School in the 70's where to their credit they offered Yoga as an alternative to Cross Country Running. It suited me very well and I have been addicted to the health-giving benefits ever since!
I am passionate about sharing the right practice that suits each individual hence why I also offer private classes at reasonable rates so that you can see what type of practice suits you before possibly joining a general class. I bring mindfulness and breath awareness to all my classes as they are powerful tools for bringing peace and calm to our busy lives.
